Gospel published in 1697 added to National Library Fund

The Gospel published in 1697 in the Romanian language by Antimoz Iverieli, Georgian theologian, scholar, calligrapher, philosopher and one of the greatest ecclesiastic figures of Wallachia, was added to the fund of unique manuscripts of the National Library of Georgia.

“The book’s primary restoration works have been completed and we are glad to inform the public about this historic fact,” Giorgi Kekelidze, Director of National Library said.

The Gospel will be exhibited at the Book Museum where everybody will have the chance to see it.
