Irinej on the occasion of 800-year anniversary of the establishment of Serbian Orthod

The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej and other Church hierarchs dispatched letters on the occasion of the 800-year anniversary of the establishment of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Irinej’s letter states “… During this blessed year, we are filled with holy feelings and undefined joy, because the Lord has honored us to celebrate with Him this great Jubilee, the 800-year anniversary of our Serbian Orthodox Church.”

The Patriarch also singles out the work and contributions of St. Sava, the first Archbishop of the Autocephalous Serbian Church, as well as the Orthodox Church’s course through the centuries, one linked intrinsically with the history of the Serbian people and state.
