Metropolitan Filotheos of Thessaloniki to accompany Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia
The Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki has announced that His Eminence Metropolitan Filotheos of Thessaloniki, will accompany His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia.
More specifically, immediately after the current meeting of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, he will depart by air for Sydney, as a member of the honorary entourage of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who will visit the fifth continent from October 4 to 19, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.
Therefore, Metropolitan Filotheos will be in Thessaloniki again on Sunday, 20 October 2024, as made known in the announcement.
