The Russian Orthodox Church’s Metropolitan of Volo-kolamsk, His Eminence Hilarion, referred to the Russian Patriarch’s pending visit to North Korea, adding however, that a date has not been set.
In a television appearance, His Eminence Hilarion, who is the chairman of the Moscow Church’s department of external relations, added that the Patriarch of Russia and All Moscow has a long relationship with the specific country.
He also responded to reactions over a media report claiming that a Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church recently requested higher fees for holding sacraments, such as baptisms.
Metropolitan Hilarion categorically stated that the Russian Church does not mandate fees or charges for holding sacraments.
