Metropolitan of Volokolamsk Hilarion meets with Russia’s minister of science & higher education

The Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, His Eminence Hilarion, on Monday met with Russia’s minister of Science and Higher Education, Valery Falkov at the ministry’s headquarters in Moscow.

Hilarion, who is the chairman of the Department of External Church Relations and a permanent member of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Moscow, was accompanied by members of the Church’s education committee.

Chief among the topics of discussion was the teaching of theology in other higher education institutions, as well as a further emphasis on post-graduate and doctorate-level studies in theology schools.
