New Archbishop of Australia pledges to resume dialogue to bring schismatic parish back into Church’s fold

The new Archbishop of Australia, Makarios, on Tuesday received members of a schismatic parish, and specifically from the non-canonical St. Spyridonas parish in Clayton. The meeting took place at the offices of the Archdiocese in Sydney.
According to reports, the Archbishop accepted a request for a resumption of dialogue to restore the parish’s canonical status, while he also promised the delegation’s members that he will make every effort to bring the parish back into the Church’s fold.
