Noted architecture professor Moropoulou addresses con’f entitled ‘New Studies in the Archeology of Jerusalem & its Region’

The Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Theophilos III, last week received the professor emeritus of Athens’ Polytechnic, Antonia Moropoulou.
The distinguished Greek academic and architect was in Jerusalem to give a lecture, within the framework of the conference “New Studies in the Archeology of Jerusalem and its Region”.

The latter was held in the ceremonial hall of the Friends of Israel Museum, in the center of the New City of Jerusalem.

Moropoulou’s lecture focused on the restoration of the Sacred Edicule, a historical and symbolic work, according to a study of the Inter-disciplinary team of the Athens Polytechnic, which Prof. Moropoulou headed.

During her visit, the decisive role of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem for the preservation of the Status Quo and the Status of the city of Jerusalem and peace in the Holy Land was underlined.
