Patriarch of Serbia officiates at Divine Liturgy in Banjica

A Divine Liturgy was held at the St. Basil Orthodox Cathedral in Banjica this week, officiated by the Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, and co-celebrated by priests from local parishes.

In his address afterwards, the Serbian Patriarch referred to the supreme meaning of the Great and Holy Lent for the faithful. A synod of clerics serving in the greater Belgrade area followed at the Cathedral’s conference center.
