Priest Alexander Volkov dismissed from the post of patriarchal press secretary

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia dismissed priest Alexander Volkov from the post of the patriarchal press service head from September 11, a source in the Synodal Department for Church, Society and Media Relation told Interfax.

Chief of the mentioned department Vladimir Legoyda was appointed acting head of the patriarchal press service.

In the synodal department, the decision was explained by “reorganization and optimization of the Moscow Patriarchate’s informational services.”
