Christian Orthodox faithful in the Republic of the Congo celebrated the advent of the new year during a midnight service at the Cathedral of St. Fotini, in the city of Pointe-Noire, with the Metropolitan of Brazzaville and Gabon, His Eminence Panteleimon, officiating.
